Core implementation review

Three storefront journeys from model choice to purchase

TOBIRA STORE has to hold many designer vocabularies, image styles and drop calendars without breaking into disconnected mini-sites. The work is to keep house discovery, a shared product surface for garments and objects, and TWD/USD destination terms inside one transaction.

Project context

Define how customers choose before defining the storefront

Buying decision

Customers enter through brands such as AENRMÒUS, AMOMENTO, INNERRAUM, OAMC or Thug Club, or through outerwear, tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories, perfume, lifestyle and discount tiers, then confirm size, stock, regional price and terms.

Delivery boundary

WESWOO creates a neutral yet distinctive multi-brand framework where profiles, products, Journal and regional commerce reference one another, keeping navigation maintainable as designers expand.

01House entrance

Let designer houses be the real way in

Customers arrive through houses such as AENRMÒUS, INNERRAUM or OAMC, or through categories and Journal pieces, but every path has to resolve to one purchasable set rather than separately kept lists.

  1. 01Arrive from a house wall or Journal piece
  2. 02Narrow by category or markdown
  3. 03Open that designer’s product
  4. 04Use search when the house is already known

Implementation

  • Brand walls and cross-brand collections for outerwear, tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories and perfume share one collection template family, so each house does not need its own list page.
  • Predictive Search returns product and collection suggestions while typing, landing the shopper on the right house or category first.
  • Limited drops and markdowns live as separate collections instead of rewritten product titles.
  • Product pages call Product Recommendations in the current context, folding adjacent designer pieces back into discovery.

Deployment and acceptance

  • Navigation, brand modules and recommendation slots remain reorderable sections and blocks; theme-editor reloads remount through the official section lifecycle so galleries and forms stay attached.
  • Brand profiles and Journal entries sit outside the SKU, so product pages cite the house rather than repeating its story on every item.
ResultWhat changes after implementation
  • House, category and editorial routes point at the same purchasable products.
  • A new designer is added mainly by maintaining a brand collection and profile, not by rebuilding discovery.

02Product canvas

One product page for garments and objects

ALA TIANAN apparel and INNERRAUM bags or jewellery share a product template, but crop, option shape and stock feedback still have to match the thing on screen.

  1. 01Read the house and photography
  2. 02Change size or colour against live price and stock
  3. 03Zoom a detail, then return to the buy action

Implementation

  • A quiet black-and-white frame carries typographic brand names and photography, with restrained discount states so each designer’s shooting style remains intact.
  • media-gallery.js and product-modal.js own image switching and the zoom layer, with gallery proportions that distinguish apparel lays, fabric crops and accessory still-lifes.
  • Size pickers, stock cues and price expose selected and unavailable states rather than a colour change on the label.

Deployment and acceptance

  • Apparel and objects share the product template; size and colour live on Shopify variants, while brand, season and material notes are reusable records.
  • On small screens the brand list stays scrollable and grouped, with focus moving from house to product.
  • Share and zoom layers keep a visible close control and restore page scroll when dismissed.
ResultWhat changes after implementation
  • The same product page can present a T-shirt and an INNERRAUM object without forcing one crop on both.
  • Shoppers decide against the current size and stock state instead of guessing which option will add.

03Destination buy

Align destination price, sellable sizes and delivery before checkout

The English storefront serves Taiwan and international shoppers in TWD and USD. A region change has to move price, available sizes and shipping language together.

  1. 01Set region and currency
  2. 02Read destination price and sellable sizes
  3. 03Add the variant to cart
  4. 04Confirm the line in the drawer
  5. 05Check local pickup or continue to checkout

Implementation

  • product-form.js and product-info.js share variant state so option changes update price, availability and the add control together; pubsub.js carries events between form, gallery and cart.
  • Ajax Cart add, change and update drive the cart; cart-drawer.js, cart.js and cart-notification.js treat the returned cart payload as source.
  • After a region change, the active variant’s price, sellable sizes and delivery copy refresh together, and that same variant is what add-to-cart submits.

Deployment and acceptance

  • localization-form.js and the region control treat destination as a first-class action rather than a currency glyph swap.
  • pickup-availability.js queries pickup by location; store and shipping language stay merchant-editable instead of hardcoded beside the form.
  • Promotional modules and recommendation slots can load asynchronously and never block price, stock or the purchase action.
ResultWhat changes after implementation
  • Shoppers see destination-consistent price, size and terms before checkout.
  • The drawer identifies the added line immediately; stock or request failures return at the original action.

Operational handoff

The operating team can continue after launch

Catalog and content
  • Designer houses are the primary discovery axis; outerwear, tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories and perfume sit as cross-brand collections.
  • Size and colour live on Shopify variants; brand profiles, season and material notes are reusable so each SKU does not repeat the house story.
  • Limited drops and markdowns are separate collections; naming differences are normalised in data rather than patched only in the mega menu.
Market operations
  • The English storefront serves Taiwan and international shoppers, with checkout preload in en-TW and commercial context covering TWD and USD.
  • Region switching updates price, sellable sizes and delivery copy together; pickup is queried by location, and tax or returns stay as editable policy modules.
  • Brand imagery can be shared; inventory and discount tiers are maintained per market so the same SKU does not show conflicting terms.

Content verification

Industry, product and observable feature notes are verified against the brand site. Apps, admin configuration and commercial data that cannot be confirmed from the storefront are not inferred. WESWOO scope is stated only from project records and client authorization.
