In Shopify, you can implement ladder price display by using variants and price rules. Ladder pricing is a strategy where the price of an item decreases as the quantity purchased increases. Here are the steps to implement ladder price display on Shopify:

1. Creation of variants:First, you need to create different variants for your merchandise. Variants are combinations of different options or attributes of an item. For example, if your item has different sizes or colors, you can create a variant for each size and color combination.

2. Setting price rules:In Shopify's backend admin interface, go to Settings > Sales Channels > Online Store "Go to Settings > Sales Channels > Online Store. In the Pricing section, you can set price rules. Click Add pricing rule and select Quantity-based pricing.

3. Definition of ladder prices:In the price rule settings, you can define different purchase quantity ranges and corresponding prices. For example, if you want the price to be $10 for purchases of 1-10 items and $8 for purchases of 11-20 items, you can set two price ranges and corresponding prices.

4. Associative variants and price rules:Associate each variant with a corresponding pricing rule. In the Pricing section of the product editing page, you can select the pricing rules that apply to the variant. Make sure that you select the correct pricing rule for each variant.

5. Updating the merchandise page:On your product pages, you can use the Liquid template language to display step prices. Use Liquid's conditional statements and variables to determine the current purchase quantity and display the corresponding price. For example, you can use the following code to display ladder prices:

"`liquid

{% if product.selected_variant.quantity >= 1 and product.selected_variant.quantity <= 10 %}

<p>Price: $10</p>

{% elsif product.selected_variant.quantity >= 11 and product.selected_variant.quantity <= 20 %}

<p>Price: $8</p>

{% else %}

<p>Price: ${{ product.selected_variant.price }}</p>

{% endif %}

“`

This will show different prices depending on the number of purchases.

By using variants and price rules, as well as the Liquid template language, you can implement step price display on Shopify. Make sure to set up your price rules correctly and associate them with the appropriate variants, and use Liquid to dynamically display the correct prices. This will provide your customers with more flexible and attractive buying options.
